Renesmee normally didn't go out by herself, considering as her parents never let her go out on her own. Today, however, her parents were out on their own hunting trip - needing time alone. Nessie had been exceptionally bored at home. There had been nothing to do but write music or read. And she didn't want to do any of those things, and she hadn't known where her Jacob was. So, Renesmee had decided to do something she'd never done before. She went out to the mountains to hunt all by herself for something that would satisfy the gnawing hunger in her stomach. Though human food would have satisfied those needs, Nessie wanted something more. So the blood of an animal was going to have to do. Considering, as she wasn't allowed to drink O + anymore.
Renesmee was actually a very skilled hunter for a half-vampire who had only been doing it for ten years. She had developed the ablility, like her parents, to not spill blood over her outfits... or to get them torn. So as she stalked a wayward cougar through the mountains, she was careful not to ruin her denim jeans or her black blouse. Her chocolate brown eyes were fixed on the mountain lion when it finally spun around, baring its teeth in defiance at another predator. Nessie growled - though her growl definitely wasn't the same as a vampire's might be. It was a softer sound, less menacing. The cougar noticed this and leaped for her. Renesmee was ready, of course, and met it.
It wasn't much of a struggle. Nessie was careful not to let the messy blood get on her clothes, so she sucked the cougar dry within a few minutes. Her stomach filled, and Renesmee was satisfied. The little huntress stood from her kill and ran to another part of the mountains, away from the dead mountain lion. Some deer - that might have been prey for Nessie had she not been full - scattered as she skipped noiselessly through the forest. They smelled a predator, and ran away as swiftly as they could. Renesmee was a little miffed by this; she really was a mutant, wasn't she? She momentarily forgot that animals had this same reaction to those around her, and she folded herself on the ground. Nessie refused to move at all. "I'm just special," she murmured to herself, trying to reassure herself. Her mother had told her this numerous times. "I'm just different."
